old friends

two weeks ago we were blessed to have some of our oldest, best friends come to visit us from Oregon.
Four adults + eleven kids = fun times and memories made

I wish I could scoop up baby L and hug him right now!

four boys from ages five to seven...hmmm, what mischief can be caused there? ;)

Isn't baby L the cutest!?!

ice cream!

the only one out of twenty pictures that isn't too goofy...

see what I mean?

Do you have good friends who live far away?
Also, thank you all for the prayers about my wisdom teeth. The surgery went well, and I am now resting and recuperating (i.e. eating as much pudding and applesauce as possible) and am only a little sore and swollen.

  1. This is so cute <333 Friends like family are the best! I got so many cousin/friend vibes from this post and this reminds me how much I miss my peeps.

And I"M SO GLAD THE SURGERY WENT WELL <3 Praise God. :) Mine is still waiting to happen...yikers.

    1. Thank you Anna! I miss our friends already...
Me too. Aw man, anticipation is no fun.

  2. The pictures are cute! I like them. I've actually moved twice so I have friends in different states... as well as other people I've met but don't live where I live.
It's cool that you got to see and hang out with them! That's always fun :)

    1. That's super cool that you have friends in more than one other state!
      Thank you Sarah!

  3. It looks like you had an amazing time! (especially those four boys... xD)
And I see that not only did you eat ice cream, but Miss H's magazine-book was about ice cream too ;)

    1. Oh yes, they were quite the rascals! xD
She was inspired! It was about a girl who refused to eat anything but ice cream and then found out she was lactose intolerant. Ten year old imaginations are the best...

  4. Hahaha funny you should ask, because every one of my good friends lives in a different state, and a few live in other countries. The trials of being a missionary kid!! XD
It's always lovely seeing them again, and always terribly hard to say goodbye, isn't it?

I didn't know you were having your wisdom teeth removed!! Must have missed the memo, I'm sorry! But I'm glad you're doing okay!!
Haha I've noticed you've pinned a lot of things on Pinterest lately and that must be why!!
What better excuse to be on Pinterest, eh? And it's very er... therapeutic! and... uh.... HELPFUL!
    and... very.... um.... YEAH! XD
Pinterest can be soo addictive when I'm not careful!! XP

Loved this post and all the pictures!!!
    <3 <3

    1. Aw man that is difficult! It certainly is.
Yep...I certainly have been spending a large amount of 'recovery time' on pinterest...
      It really is!
      Thank you Esther!

  5. Glad the procedure went well. Its nice that friends came to visit your family. Lots of pudding and jello is necessary. I've had teeth removed as well and its not fun.
    God bless!

  6. Some of my family's best friends moved away a couple of years ago. They moved clear across the country which makes it impossible for us to see each other unless we fly (which obviously doesn't happen much). We also have extended family that we are really close with that we live like 14 hours away from, and so it is truly a blessing when we get to see them. This is my first time on your blog but I just can't explain how good your photography is! I just followed your blog and I can't wait to read more:)

you're a gem.
